1. Definitions

Data that cannot be related to you personally, for example through anonymization, are not considered personal data. The processing of personal data under Art. 4 No. 2 GDPR always requires a legal basis or your consent.
“Processing” (Art. 4 No. 2 GDPR) is any operation performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means. This includes collecting, recording, organizing, structuring, storing, adapting, altering, retrieving, consulting, using, disclosing, transmitting, disseminating, aligning, linking, restricting, erasing, or destroying personal data, as well as changing the purpose of data processing.
“Controller” (Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR) is the natural or legal person, authority, institution, or other body that alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of processing personal data.
Processed personal data must be deleted as soon as the purpose of processing is achieved and no statutory retention obligations exist.

4. Legal Basis for Data Processing
Processing personal data is generally prohibited by law unless one of the following justifications applies:
Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (Consent): When the data subject has given consent for one or more specific purposes.
Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR: When processing is necessary for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.
Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR: When processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation.
Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Legitimate Interests): When processing is necessary to protect the legitimate interests of the controller or a third party, provided the interests or rights of the data subject do not override them.
Storage of information on the user’s device or access to such information is allowed only under similar legal bases.
5. Data Deletion and Retention Periods
Personal data is deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of processing is fulfilled or the legal basis no longer applies. Data may be retained longer in the event of (potential) legal disputes or statutory retention obligations (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO).

Currently, we do not use any external domestic or foreign service providers for business operations.

No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
9. Obligation to Provide Data
You are not required to provide personal data to conclude a contract with us. However, some services may only be partially or not available if necessary data is not provided.

We may be legally obliged to provide processed personal data to third parties, especially public authorities (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
